WINTER FRUIT SALAD




1 can of chunk pineapple, drained and reserved (20 oz.)

1 can of mandarin oranges, drained (11 oz.)

1/2 lb. red seedless grapes, sliced in half

1 red apple, sliced thin

1/4 c. chopped pecans (optional)



DRESSING:



1 1/4 c. marshmallow cream

1 tbsp. reserved pineapple syrup

3 tbsp. mayonnaise or salad dressing

1/4 tsp. vanilla



Reserve pineapple syrup. Set aside for dressing. Mix fruit and pecans in large bowl. Blend dressing ingredients together in a small bowl. Pour over fruit. Stir to blend. Refrigerate until serving. The dressing is great to keep in a covered container in the refrigerator as an after school snack for dipping apples and bananas.
